Captiva Fishing.
In my last report I mentioned that it was a good idea to get out and do some Gag Grouper fishing.
Ivan came out yesterday and yanked up this 17lb Gag that broke the handle on 1 of my reels. It was near the end of the battle and we managed to boat the fish by hand.
Ivan was fishing with 2 friends Dan and Neal who were broke off on 2 more giants. I’m using 80lb line!
The Wisconsin team landed 3 nice groupers on the trip.
Catching these big Gags is so much fun. The fishermen from Wisconsin are a pleasure to have on my boat.
